Who says motorcycles are impractical? This weekend my gf and I went to buy some light fittings. Rather than get caught up in South London traffic we decided to go on the bikes. We arrived at Bromley in no time, went into the the light shop asked for our order and then looked at each other when the guy lifted two huge boxes onto the counter. "They're only supposed to be bedside lights!" said Alisa, " I better go back and get the car."
Any how I asked the guy to take them out of the boxes, convinced I could get them into the luggage. When we go back to the bikes it was obvious that they still wouldn't fit. That said I managed to fit them in with the panniers open but secured with the cargo straps.
Riding home filtering was out of the question, and leaning into corners isn't advised, but it just goes to show motorcycles are a practical mode of transport...almost ;-)
