Bikers protest fuel prices in Manchester

Hundreds of bikers got together to protest rising fuel costs on the the M62 and M60 near Manchester. Reading news reports it was good to see support from car drivers on an issue which for once unites people on the road.

Personally I've been riding for years and I couldn't tell you how much a litre or a gallon costs off the top of my head, I just know it gets more expensive and I don't find that I'm affected very much due to the low quantities I buy. That said I ride mostly for pleasure and have short commute.

It's clearly an issue for anyone who bikes for a living or drives anything larger where filling the tank can cost a considerable amount of money. It's good to see bikers like couriers who are really affected out protesting and supporting truckers and others who pay the really big money to fill up the tank.
